+chevy chase renovation + pool house

The homeowners enlisted Aggregate to design the pool house and new rear porch as part of the collaborative project with landscape designer Goffin Gardens. The portico, outdoor living space and pool house utilized traditional language and materials to unify the new back yard elements with the main house. The pool house features a powder room, wet bar, outdoor grilling area. All the exterior doors of the pool house slide away into the brick walls to merge the inside space with the outdoor dining, lounge area, and pool deck. Concurrent with the backyard project Aggregate oversaw the restoration of historic facades of the main house.  The exterior was painted and refreshed, and a deteriorating 1990’s addition was wrapped in historic brick and properly insulated. 

Aggregate worked closely with Goffin Gardens and the builder, Superior Construction Services, to maintain an accelerated schedule and complete the construction in under 6 months. The project has received the National Association of the Remodeling Industry 2021 Regional CotY Award for the Southeast Region for Residential Landscape Design/ Outdoor Living over $250,000.
